Renowned international fashion competition, World Of WearableArt selected Natalia Fedner’s Python gown as a finalist for the 2019 show. The 2019 Show season ran from 26 Sept – 13 Oct at the TSB Arena in Wellington, New Zealand. For three weeks, 108 finalist garments created by 115 designers representing 22 countries and regions came to life on stage in front of an audience of around 60,000 people.

Made from over 3000 feet of silver and black metal chain, the gown incorporated Natalia Fedner’s patent-pending technology, which allowed it to take on the shape of the model. On stage, it became an optical illusion – tricking the eye into seeing a “printed patterned dress.” While up close, and  in reality, it was a series of cleverly interlinked chains of two different colors.
